Indemnity for Expert Witness
The Expert Witness Institute requires all its members to have Professional Indemnity insurance cover in respect of their expert witness work.
The block Professional Indemnity insurance policy is administered by Horner Blakey, and has an annual renewal date of the 7th of February. Members of the Expert Witness Institute can join at any time throughout the year, and will be covered subject to the satisfactory completion of a Professional Indemnity insurance declaration form and payment of the premium to Horner Blakey.

Please read these carefully to ensure they meet with your requirements.
Please note that irrespective of when members of the Expert Witness Institute join the block Professional Indemnity insurance policy, the full annual premium will be payable. As this is a block policy, several restrictions have been put in to place which suit the majority of members. However, if you fall outside these criteria Horner Blakey will be happy to obtain quotes for you individually, and would ask that you contact us to discuss your requirements
